The artist had previously worked on the PlayStation's Uncharted series however, and due to some reason, this led fans to make an alliance. However, Kozlowsky and Retro Studios were actually working on Donkey Kong Country D2R Items: Tropical Freeze at the time, and when the game was officially unveiled in the first place, a lot of Zelda players slammed it as they were hoping for something different. In a brand new interview with the Kiwi Talkz podcast, Kozlowsky explained how the rumor led to anger for the team working on the game.

"Sometimes it's frustrating since it leads to false expectations. I believe that was the case when we first announced Tropical Freeze. Everyone was in a state of 'they're developing the next Zelda game, they're working on a Zelda game,' but then they said nope. Then we released Tropical Freeze and it looks phenomenal and it's gorgeous looking and then people say "oh, but it's a different Donkey Kong.'

Then you realize that the people are talking about it on Neogaf or something and you're like , 'oh my and everyone thought we were doing an Zelda game and it's like no, it's not what you do.' So , it's both in that we sometimes laugh at this, but it's also annoying when it carries on for a little more than it should," said Kozlowsky.

Kozlowsky's comments are an interesting perspective on how rumors circulate and how this can negatively impact a game's reception. Although Tropical Freeze might not have been the game most fans had hoped to be able to play but it did receive a lot of critical review upon its debut. It's frustrating to work hard on something only for the internet to react with displeasure based on faulty reports buy diablo 2 resurrected items. It's difficult to predict how fans will react to a game's announcement however, hopefully this experience helped some fans understand the importance of staying on the right side of expectations!
